MOU with RTM Nagpur University

In a significant step towards integrating Indian Knowledge Systems (IKS) into mainstream education, Jagatguru Shri Devnath Institute of Vedic Science and Research(JSDIVSR), Nagpur has signed the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University (RTMNU), for year-long Faculty Development Programs (FDPs) on IKS.

Aligned with the National Education Policy 2020 (NEP 2020) and the University Grants Commission (UGC) guidelines, which mandate a two-credit course on IKS in undergraduate curricula, these FDPs aim to equip faculty members with the necessary knowledge and skills to effectively teach IKS. The initiative is expected to create awareness and promote IKS within higher education institutions.

The FDPs will be hosted by various colleges affiliated with RTMNU, while JSDIVSR will be responsible for designing the syllabus, selecting resource persons, and handling technical aspects of the training. Recognizing the importance of this initiative, RTMNU Vice-Chancellor Dr. Madhavi Khode Chaware has urged all college principals and IKS coordinators to actively participate in the program.

JSDIVSR, under the patronage of PP Acharya Swami Shri Jitendranath Maharaj, Shrinath Peethadhishwar, Shri Devnath Math, Anjangaon Surji, District Amravati, Maharashtra, has been actively working in the field of Vedic Science and Research. Through this collaboration, the institute aims to bridge the gap between ancient Indian knowledge and contemporary educational needs.

This initiative marks a transformative step towards reviving and institutionalizing Indian Knowledge Systems, benefiting both educators and students alike.
